WAVE: Single Video Export

WAVE supports video export in three formats: .avi, .mkv, and .exe

Exporting either a .mkv or .avi file will produce a video file that will need an external player to be viewed.

Exporting a .exe format will encapsulate the exporting video file in to a portable executable file. This includes a light version of the WAVE Client that can be played on any Windows computer.

A full overview of exporting video in Wisenet WAVE can be viewed here.

To export a single video clip in WAVE v3.2 and above:

  1. Select the camera and navigate to the event you would like to export.
  2. Hovering your mouse over the selection, right click and choose "Export Video..." to enter the unified video exporting dialog window.

  3. Be sure to select the "Single Camera" tab.
  4. Check the box to "Apply Filters" if you desire or require the application of additional filters (picture rotation, dewarping, Image enhancement, etc.)
  5. Add a video timestamp by clicking on the "Timestamp" button.  The timestamp format and text size can be adjusted using the side panel.  The timestamp can be moved by clicking and dragging.  The timestamp can be removed from the video by clicking "Delete".
  6. Add a custom image or logo by clicking on the "Add Image" button.  The image size can be adjusted with the side panel and moved by clicking and dragging.  The image can be removed from the video by clicking "Delete".
  7. Add a custom text overlay by clicking on the "Add Text" button.  The text can be entered and the size adjusted with the side panel and moved by clicking and dragging.  The text overlay can be removed from the video by clicking "Delete".
