WAVE: Minimum Server & Client Hardware Specifications

WAVE Server Hardware
Any computing device that is used to run the WAVE Server Application to discover, stream, and record IP Cameras / Streams.

Maximum 8 IP Cameras / Streams 

  • Supported OS
  • 1GB RAM
  • ARM Dual Core Cortex A7 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 100Mb NIC

Maximum 16 IP Cameras / Streams 

  • Supported OS
  • 2GB RAM
  • Intel Dual Core Atom Processor
  • 1Gb NIC

Maximum 32 IP Cameras / Stream

  • Supported OS
  • 4GB RAM
  • Intel Quad Core Celeron Processor
  • 1Gb NIC

Maximum 64 IP Cameras / Streams

  • Supported OS
  • 8GB RAM (4GB Minimum)
  • Intel Core i3 or higher processor
  • 1GB NIC

Maximum 128 IP Cameras / Streams

  • Supported OS
  • 16GB RAM (4GB Minimum)
  • Intel Core i3 or higher processor
  • 1GB NIC

 

WAVE Desktop Hardware

The following configurations are a minimum spec based on the number of streams in a System.

* WAVE Desktop uses only the CPU and can display up to 64 items on the viewing grid on a 64 bit OS and 24 items on the viewing grid on a 32 bit OS. WAVE Desktop requires OpenGL 2.1 support. WAVE Desktop automatically adjusts resolution of displayed items using Adaptive Scaling technology.

(e.g. receptionist, guard station)

  • Supported OS
  • OS Drive: >= 32 GB
  • 2GB RAM
  • CPU: Intel Dual Core Atom/Celeron Processor
  • Graphic Card: built-in card w/ Open GL 2.1 support
  •  NIC: 100Mb (dual NIC recommended)

Recommended Spec
• 8 HD streams  + low res
(e.g. workstation, monitoring station)

  • Supported OS
  • OS Drive: >= 128 GB SSD
  • RAM: 8GB 
  • CPU: Intel Core i5
  • Graphic Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 730 or better
  • NIC: 1Gb (2 x 1Gb NIC recommended)

High End Spec
• 16 HD streams concurrently + low res
(e.g. control room, investigations)

  • Supported OS
  • OS Drive: >= 128 GB SSD
  • RAM: 16GB 
  • CPU: Intel Core i7
  • Graphic Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 730 or better
  • NIC: 1Gb (2 x 1Gb NIC recommended)
